Beautiful relaxing place with some great hosts to boot! First auberge I have visited in Quebec and it exceeded all expectations.Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a nice peaceful trip away from the crowds.
We spent four days at L'aube du Nord and we must say that our stay was nothing short of amazing! Tucked in the forest, facing a beautiful lake, the location provided us an extraorinary opportunity to experience nature like no other place. The auberge has various amenities for the outdoor enthusiast, which we fully took advantage of. Although we didn't experience the on-site massage services due to a conflicting schedule, we were fortunate to go to the Nordik Spa that was absolutely fantastic and conveniently located right next door. We stayed at the beautiful unit called Star of the Lake; it was spacious, bright and clean with an incredible lake view! Communication with the hosts was perfect. They were very attentive and helpfed us lots. I recommend A L'Aube du Nord 100% and would like to come back again in the future.
We three stayed in the upper two rooms (Star of the Lake / Honeymoon) with shared access between them for a week. Both rooms have a cute balcony overlooking the calm lake, full kitchens and access to kayaks and canoes. We were warmly welcomed by Alison and Saway and enjoyed wonderful massage therapy by Saway and his colleague Anne. Both rooms were perfect for reading and the beds extremely comfortable. All the needed supplies are there for cooking or otherwise. We enjoy cooking so having the full kitchen was a real benefit. Highlights included kayaking in the mist rising from the lake in early morning, wonderful hiking just off the property, and trips to Montagne de Diable Regional Park which offers superb nature hikes. Wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended.
Absolutely wonderful. This is a beautiful peaceful haven, a place to heal. It has an amazing view of the lake, very clean and comfortable facilities, warm and welcoming hosts. I’ve also tried the massages downstairs, which was fantastic and refreshing, and the spa at the neighbouring house. Also, there’s the adorable friendly dog Rosie who takes visitors on hikes! I have come here twice this year and I hope to return again in a several months in the autumn. Thank you Alison & Sawëay!
Beautiful place! The lake is great for activities and the place is really relaxing and calm.The view of the lake from the chalet is incredible.Saweay was extremely helpful. Everything was cleaned and organized. Super recommend!
A beautiful and relaxing place to retreat from the city. The lake is lovely to look at and also to enjoy. It was so still when I went paddle boarding, I could see the sky so clearly reflecting on the waters! Highly recommend this wonderful spot!
